  1. En yritä keksiä voileipää uudelleen vaan kommentoin tähän lainaamalla omaa blogiani:

    "Yritän lukea Beckettiä, tällä kertaa Molloyta, mutta se vaatii minulta liikaa uskonnollista mieltä: tämä synkkyyden apostolius, lannistunut maahan tuijottelu, jumalan ja tarkoituksen katoamisen romantiikka; absurdius uskonnon korvikkeena; totisuuteen verhottu hengellinen pettymys...

    Kuvittelen Nietzschen lukemassa Beckettiä ja uskon, että hän olisi nähnyt tässä liikaa kristillistä reaktiivisuutta; kaunaa tyhjyyttä kohtaan. Mutta siihenhän synkkyyden ja tarkoituksettomuuden apostolius aina perustuu, kaunaan tyhjyyttä kohtaan. Nietzschen mielestä Beckettin tyhjyys olisi ollut itsetarkoituksellisen pimeää, eikä siinä hänen mielestään olisi ollut vähäisintäkään vetovoimaa ilman uskonnollista kaikupohjaa.

    Sitä vastoin Salingerin Siepparia hän olisi rakastanut. Caulfieldin vapauttavaa epäluotettavuutta vailla kaunaista vakavuutta."
